I don’t know how many of us watched many of Judge Nap’s guests today, but there were some damn glaring errors of fact goin’ on there. I do NOT want to go heavily into it, but talking as though Ilhan Omar were an innocent little example of a fine American is a bit too heavily to making bozo look even worse than he already is for my blood. And, while MBS is NO saint — feeling himself too unsafe amid a swarm of relatives to let it stay that dangerous — very long story — he’s done some darn brutal things to them, even despicably grisly things to the worst of them, and I have had to try to place myself in the mindset of a Saudi in such straits to not want to go off as half cocked on him as Ritter did.

It was something of a relief to hear Alastair Crooke showing some sort of insight into the forces arrayed against MBS in his effort to drag the country into the 21st century. I know people with politically-inflamed brains HATE nuance, but there’s OCEANS of nuance at work in Southwest Asia just now, and “we” have been torturing the people of the region for longer even than I’ve been alive.
