Trump and Putin aren't going to make it easy for them. Also Xi and Putin, and also maybe Trump, will make sure it is much too hard for them if they don't come to their senses soon.
Personally, I think they will revert to pragmatism if this doesn't jog them off the Davos, and imperialist, bullshit and their fond memories of apocalyptic confrontations past.
