It is WELL worth the effort to stay up all night for it... even to betake yourself somewhere it's not overcast, within reason, for it. Of course, THE best place for it is right where I live, because after all night with the mysticism of all ages slowly passing comes the most gorgeous moonset over the ocean you will ever see.
Still, even if you can't get the WHOLE thing with ocean ending, it's worth marking your calendar. The silver lining of my lifelong sleep circus is becoming expert on things that happen while you're asleep.
