He's got a good sense of humor. He's almost American, but Cypriot, who's often coming to us from Athens or Moscow, with a truly global audience who weigh in on his comments section. It's a good way to keep a bead on what's more-like-actual information without most of the stress.
Seems today he is speaking more like he always did. There's been a long stretch where it seemed like he was not as on it as always, talking from a vat of taffy — too fucking sloooow and rambling-to-outright-trivial — and I lose patience with punditry when it's just guys jawing away without making serious points.
If you haven't been up on geopolitics/clown world over the last few years, you won't get many of the references, but there'll be enough there for you to start catching his wave after a time, and, you HAVE to be well aware by now, it's work to keep from falling down their narrative well and never being able to climb your native intelligence back out.
Alex is good for keeping you back near understanding our actual world, even when he's wrong, and he's quick to admit it when he is, and even when he's not strictly on it, to the point where you need to speed the playback not to tear out your hair.
