Going on in Western North Carolina right now. Story, after story, after story sounding really, really bad.
People keep asking what the heck is up with this sudden lack of FEMA responses to disasters. They have no money. Duh. The budgets for all our agencies have been looted to pay for all these illegal aliens so lavishly, while many hundreds of billions are going out for wars and we are now paying more than a trillion dollars just for the interest on our national debt.
I know you don't want to do the math, but I'm throwing out some evidence here.
