Today I console myself that if the nukes start dropping, they'll suffer the least... except, of course, the ones who just evaporate in the immediate blasts. You know, because the population IS — mostly — crashing all over the Collective West, where we're not being replaced by immigrants when we're spit out by our institutions and economies.
Why do you suppose the "democratic" socialists have shut up? It'll probably be socialist when the population has been whittled down to that half a billion, but not democratic. Essentially, it will be slave labor for almost everyone, with some extra perks for craftsmen and top workers.
IF the psychopaths don't stupid us into nuclear holocaust before they can whittle us sufficiently, that is.
