The whole reason Hezbullah became a thing in Lebanon was the Israelis coming in to divert water from that river down into Israel, and killing the local farmers who tried to stop them. Seems they felt humans had water rights over animals.
Well, and everyone in the whole world had to revile Iran for taking exception to the Israeli attitude toward their neighbors. I mean, how dare they arm the oppressed against that sort of aggression. Are they blind? And what kind of self-respecting Shia would try to protect their Sunni brothers? Animals! The lot of them.
But that was decades ago.
