And I gotta tell you, I knew an old coot Bulgarian who'd fought on our side in WWII. His left arm had been injured SO badly they'd wanted to amputate it, but he wouldn't let them. So, every few years the bone infection would roar back so badly that a new set of doctors would be wanting to amputate it, and he STILL refused. He'd take the antibiotics that became ever less effective, but NO amputating of that man's arm. My point is: suicidal obstinacy is the hallmark of Bulgaria.
