NOT a democracy. Yes, we are supposed to democratically elect government officials who we feel will represent our interests, but they are NOT bound to actually do that. So long as they SAY they are doing that and are not found to be corruptly representing someone else, they can corruptly represent someone else for as long as they can mindfuck you into voting for them, or pay to rig their elections.
The fix for this is NOT socialism.
The fix for this is refusing to submit to illegal mandates and coming untrained on the authorities when they are straying from our constitution. It just does not cut it to ignore it or to sit back and gripe to your spouse about it.
Or to keep a record of it on the complicated system of pipes.
