But there had been very long notice, maybe too long for people to really believe it, or to be able to shift mental sets from economic powerhouse to communist hell hole. It's as agonizing as we'd always known it would be, but now we are in that same duldrums between the warning and the fact, and not really doing much better. No shortage of people decrying the heinous wreck of our constitution, but most of them completely unwilling to lift a finger.
