For the apocalyptic conditions at my house last Tuesday. Ken, the former postmaster here, told me it was definitely worst here, but not much better in either Crescent City or Brookings, when I was asking his opinion on where I might get to for air. It wasn't really much better either place, just the blackest part of the smoke plumes all headed straight for Khoonkhwutunne.
Today the smog had a faintly blue tint to it, suggesting sky, and the paltry rain scheduled for tomorrow seems to have been put over a few days. I don't know if it will even be enough to knock the smoke down, let alone put out the fire.
