The background was a chalkier, prettier, darker lavender. The moon tended more to electric pink than orange. And natgeo had to get up in the mountains and use some camera fuckery to get even this close.
I fiddled all night, but I could get the moon color right only if I completely sacrificed background on some and the background right only if I completely sacrificed moon color. And I'd've then needed an overlay to get the right kind of indistinctness to it.
But this one is the closest to what the eclipse looked like from my house.
