The air smells burnt. NOT like smoke. But like burnt air. Don't tell me you don't know what I'm talking about.

...

Not an hour later, 88º and burnt air.

I have to just give up any hope of the weather services getting it right for Khoonkhwuttunne. It seems to have topped at 88º at my house. I'm thinking it might work to bookmark pages for Brookings, Oregon and Crescent City, California and then do the math to split the difference. This might get closer to telling me what the reality could be from their fucking awesomely inaccurate forecasts for this place.

They used to be darn amazingly accurate. Did we lose a weather station? WTF?

...

Of course, it's not helping the fire hazard situation one little bit.

It's 9:30pm and 82º out. We're talking practically in the Pacific Ocean. Nothing remotely inland about it and it's night time. I can't say "and it's dark out" because it's a full moon and it looks like a bank of klieg lamps out there. Maybe I need to wear a sleep mask....

always and any time....
