Don't leave out the comments section if you want to start getting a flavor of how things "work" in this fucked up "system" of ours... well... or... maybe it doesn't look foreboding to you because you have not ever tried to get this state to function properly around local issues... function properly period.
If you don't want the tobacco companies taking over cannabis, the way to prevent it is eternal vigilance. I'm relatively sure the growers of today will do the best job possible of getting in a decent set of laws, analogous to our darn gorgeous, and long forgotten, environmental laws, but the passage of each new act and each new regulation heralds in armies of loophole-boring fascist insects.
Everyone sees it coming. Everyone pitches fits about it. Nobody stops it.
