What would happen if we ran a natural gas pipeline down through Mexico and the various Central American countries to Colombia, and, say, Honduras decided to tap into it for a supply of free gas? Or Mexico. Or any of the sovereign states between the United States and Colombia. Say that pipeline branched from Colombia to serve many South American countries' natural gas needs. What would happen to whatever country along the route who decided they were too poor to pay for it and just took it?
