The rain cleared for a few hours this afternoon and it was sunny and quite noticeably warm out earlier. I had to open more windows.

...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHWEST CALIFORNIA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

A HIGH WIND WARNING IS CURRENTLY IN EFFECT.

A POTENT PACIFIC STORM WILL CONTINUE TO BRING STRONG GUSTY WINDS
THROUGH THIS MORNING. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED WITH THE
SHOWER ACTIVITY THIS MORNING. THESE HAVE THE CHANCE OF BRINGING
SMALL HAIL...GUSTY ERRATIC WINDS...AND OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING.
WATERSPOUTS GENERATED OFF THE COAST HAVE THE POSSIBILITY OF
COMING ASHORE TODAY DURING THE MORE VIGOROUS CONVECTION.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

A WET PATTERN WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEK.
The electricity has blinked off twice overnight. I've gotten about ten minutes' sleep in various dozes. I'm fit to be tied.

Radars put the band of precipitation that just blew through hitting as far south as Marin. Doesn't look as though it'll get enough east to even graze Sacramento... but... maybe the next blast will come in more southerly. I mean, it's blowing up from the south, so that sucks for the state, but I think most of Mendocino and all of Sonoma and Marin haven't had any rain at all yet this year... so... so think of me up here ducking waterspouts.

6:30am

Woo hoo! The bottom of the system is reaching down to about Santa Cruz and [!!!] it's going much more due easterly than it was an hour ago. This means the Californians who frequent my blog are going to get at least a smidgeon this morning. Yaaaaay!

always and any time....
