The psychopaths are not bombing their allies. They're after Assad... and their puppet terrorists are their excuse. Saddam, tried and lynched. Gaddafi, plain lynched. So what for Assad? Beheading is all the rage. Hillary would be tickled. And Syria would be decimated so it can't mount an effective effort to help Iran.
