Max Igan, while being as deucedly repetitive as always, is definitely evolving his rhetoric and Henrik, too, seems to be branching out from his recent fugue just the littlest bit. The airy-fairy and the airy-fairy-with-'tude seem to be dropping off in favor of something more like sense. Much, much less of the just-be-more-like-me-and-it's-a-beautiful-world-again shtick has given way to the consideration — finally [fuck, finally] — that passive endurance of the slaughter going on isn't, perhaps, the way to go after all. Men might need to get back in touch with their gonads and physically put a halt to it.
Which, and you know I have not been swinging from your earlobes about this in quite a while, was never the aim of Eastern Mysticism to interfere with. Au contraire, mes amies! It was always about the kind of discernment that would show you when you were being used by psychopaths and when brute force was indeed mandatory. That has long since been garbled up with the teaching device for seekers that enjoins nonviolence and nonaggression, which has always been strictly to create a mental posture wherein real insight is possible. This was never meant to be a life long thing. It's only about quelling the ego beast enough to be free from your slavery to it... about putting the inner master back in proper relation with its servant.
The ancients bull-horned that the teaching is only not more delusion insofar as it is providing the function of positioning your outlook, your inlook, for the crucial realization, then, on that instant, the teaching is as delusory as any other thing of relative reality, not to be clung to. It is not, not, not religion. Never was meant to be. That the overall quality of realization degraded over the centuries, and charlatans came in to pose as masters for reasons not even tangential to your enlightenment, have turned it into religion is moot, moot, moot. The teaching itself, by the earliest masters, has not vanished from the face of Endurance and serious people can still get to it.
It is not "violent" to halt slaughter forcibly. It is halting slaughter. Everyone knows maniacs do not stop just because you ask, or just because you whine, or just because you go out like a circus clown on the street. Anyone knows that before they ever try that stuff, but certainly they can no longer deny it once they have. This seems to be dawning Max and Henrik at last... the real finally poking through the mental clutter to assert itself through them.
I haven't been patient about it. I have held it against them that they have been outrageously slow getting here, but they are getting here, and this is good news.
