Despite my solidarity with and admiration for Edward Snowden, I've been wondering from the git just what he imagined we could do about it. It's been decades since we've had anything like the capacity to stop the government from doing anything they refuse to stop. And decades since we've even been able to make them pretend to stop anything. As I've said a thousand times before, the only way to actually stop them is with physical force. They are not going to have a sudden attack of morals, not the ones who are actually in charge.
