I don't want to rub it in, but it's been rainy here for three or four days already and
THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHWEST CALIFORNIA.And it's colder than it's been in months. In fact, a couple weeks ago, it was getting so warm it was waking me up at night and making me run around opening all the windows in the day.
.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.
RAIN SHOWERS WILL PERSIST OVERNIGHT.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.
A COLDER AND UNSTABLE AIRMASS WILL CAUSE SNOW LEVELS TO FALL
THURSDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. THIS WILL ALSO BRING THE POTENTIAL FOR
THUNDERSTORMS WITH SMALL HAIL ACROSS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA BY FRIDAY.
Pretty soon I will drop all expectation of any kind of weather whatsoever. This will be easier for me than most because one should always be prepared for fairly drastic temperature fluctuations on the coast. The marine layer comes in and out, sometimes a bunch of times, over the course of the day, so the t-shirt that was plenty a few minutes ago will be uncomfortably cool a few minutes from now... or the sweater you have been wearing all day suddenly is making you go all sweaty. Most people here wear a shirt or light sweater over a t-shirt and try to have another sweater or a jacket handy when we go out. Very, very rarely is anything heavy required, but also tanks are apt to be too light on most days.
So. Hell. The way things are going, weather-wise, perhaps we should start thinking of thermal body suits we can just set to maintain one temperature in all weather. Wouldn't that make life a lot easier?
