The latest on Abby Martin's seriously, seriously callow outburst:
Martin's colleagues in Russia were apparently caught off-guard by her comments. One, Darya Pushkova, tweeted that she should do her show "out of what she calls are occupied territories and see for herself".Bad choice, Abby, bad choice.
"That's exactly right," the RT editor-in-chief, Margarita Simonyan, wrote in response.
Russia Today later released an official statement. "Contrary to the popular opinion, RT doesn't beat its journalists into submission, and they are free to express their own opinions, not just in private but on the air. This is the case with Abby's commentary on the Ukraine," it said.
"We respect her views, and the views of all our journalists, presenters and programme hosts, and there will be absolutely no reprimands made against Ms Martin.
"In her comment Ms Martin also noted that she does not possess a deep knowledge of reality of the situation in Crimea. As such we'll be sending her to Crimea to give her an opportunity to make up her own mind from the epicentre of the story."
Martin, responding on Twitter to coverage of her remarks and messages of support, said: "I am not going to Crimea despite the statement RT has made."
What offer from our state media has she accepted?

This item right here might have merit. Despite my unabashedly pro-Putin outlook, which has been based on his actions over the course of his entire presidency and premiership, I don't know if anyone's pulling his strings. It so doesn't look like it, but there is no way for any of us to tell. Until there is, what choice do we have but to put our hearts in solidarity with the good guys? I'll tell you exactly what choice we have. We can turn away, making cynical grunts and bleats, and let the psychopaths do whatever they want without even having to pay attention to public opinion... or we can turn on the psychopaths themselves, root them out of the woodwork and permanently relieve them of their grip on the puppet strings. But that would involve the masses awakening, regaining their vitality and doing what it takes to pull that off.
I'd say the biggest factor in favor of this guy's assessment is that Putin is alive, that he has done all he has done and is still alive, but there are many, many other reasons beside him being controlled by the psychopaths that explain this. I just want everyone to know that I don't discount this possibility, and for the simple reason that this has been how it's been done for millennia.
They always control the opposition. Always. Sometimes they build it before any real humans get the chance. Sometimes they simply take control of what the real humans came up with... by use of money... large amounts of money. And when/if they cannot buy the control away from a beneficial-to-the-people force, they slaughter it... and however many innocent bystanders as bystand innocently.
Whatever force seeks to dismantle their control has to be heavily protected.
So, you see, it is possible they control Putin and our government... or that they have so far failed to kill Putin... or that they will only do that when he stops serving as a good enough bad guy... or they have already chosen him to end up Emperor, whether he signed up for it or not... or that they are just plain too weak right now to get a full lock on it. You have no choice but to wake up in response to what you can tell are the facts on the ground... if you want actually to become no part of the problem... let alone part of the solution.
See "Mind Boy" in Duncan Trussell's podcast below on that one.
The point is, you have to risk your life. No way around it.
You start in defending "invasion" or "incursion" or "What Russia did was wrong," you have unequivocally shown you prefer staying part of the problem. I'm sorry, and I know most of you can't tell, but that is a fact.

And, here you have PCR giving a pretty good account of the situation, even as he continues to make just about the biggest mistake any good human can make when talking about this stuff; to wit: that it's mistaken, foolish, stupidity. Yes, it sure is reckless as fuck, but it's utterly purposefully implemented. The chaos in the wake of every engagement of this reckless machine is the goal, and in the case of Ukraine it is aimed at both starting WWIII and making it much harder for the BRICs to win it.
That is as plain as the nose on your face.
Only your conditioning prevents you from seeing it.

Oh, too much work? Are you sure? You fuck.
