I don't think any of the originals live there anymore... or if one or two do, it's an accident of, say, an inheritance. This has been hard on us natives, but now there is at least one positive thing about it. They're not helpless targets of the psychopaths. They can get in the NYT and fight. Not that mere mortals can even pay for their product, but... maybe we can learn from them... and maybe we won't be too bitter to lend our support.
