i'm spending time on haircut research

Turns out my last haircut was not too neat at all. I just thought so because my hair is much healthier than it's been and it needed product to bring out its full wackiness. I don't think of that at least 90% of the time. I am just not into feminine artifice.

I was getting mad because I'd put it in a ponytail to ignore my hair hatred and the fucking ponytail would just hang there, droop there, heading straight for the ground instead of flying in every direction and only needing a feather or two to be suitably maniacal for my taste. People were complimenting me on my wonderful haircut... neat people... well groomed people... staid types... creepy, creepy normal people... women wearing makeup with impeccably managed hair. It was freaking me out! It was scaring me.

See, what she'd done was something akin to what's going on in this video, and the deal is that you have to turn upside down and put in a lot of firm finishing spray and then just stay upside down and tussling and scrunching alway at your head with both hands until the spray sets enough. Then when your head is upright it's crazy enough.

So I'm going in on Wednesday again and getting a couple more layers, and expect soon to be perfectly content with my hair for at least a month... and who knows but maybe if it stays healthy, which seems to be solely dependent on whether I'm getting enough thyroid hormone, I could be happy with my hair for years and years, with spray... doesn't make your hair feel like it's been set with hardened paste anymore... probably those dreaded nanobots at work....
