Not Fukushima, baby. Not Fukushima. It's homegrown. You don't even have to read very far into this report to get the whole picture.

It's too hard to lift the quotes out of the report to put here. I'm only twelve, really easy to skim, pages in and have all the most important information I need to state unequivocally that the headlines about the radioactivity at the Northern California beach marked on the linked map is NOT from Fukushima, and we're in much worse trouble than that. They started dumping nukes there nearly 70 years ago. 40 years ago "only a few" of the 55-gallon-drum "containment" barrels were crushed and leaking. And I even wonder if anyone's checked it since the Loma Prieta quake in '89.

The one positive thing I can say about this is that if the radioactivity there goes away, we have more evidence for secret remediation tech... but, in any case, this is all the evidence you need that it is suicide to depend on government to take care of us. Competent people, aka MORAL people, need to be dealing with this stuff, and dealing with it does not include sitting around and wailing about it colorfully enough to drive traffic to your website.

Saying stuff about it doesn't do jack.

Yelling only works when it's sufficiently intimidating to cause dispositive action. Our yelling hasn't been enough to intimidate a kitten in decades and decades. The last time it was enough, it still only delayed the corrupt gratification for a few years.

Do. You. Get. My. Drift?
