we're not sensible anymore

Haven't been in a couple hunnert years.

I know this is the sensible thing because I remember pockets of my dysrhythmic sleeping where I would do two bouts of four hours instead of one straight shot of eight and I felt great, if still weird, when I was doing that. It's better, too, because more of your waking time gets stored into longterm memory that way as well. It would've been great for families with children, both because it would be mitigating or eliminating the whining about bedtime thing if everyone was going to bed at the same time, and because the adults could be up to have some adult time in peace.

It would have been better for dream diaries, big time, and having a read by the fire or maybe a slug of brandy or all sorts of civilized things. Probably less morning stiffness that way, too. Heck, let's do it....
