Sheldrake gave us a highly entertaining ACCOUNT of how non-constant the speed of light actually is, and others have argued that it is close enough to constant to be used as one, but right here you have them admitting that it can be slowed and even stopped by applications of influences, some of which are even found in space. So, though I'm sure it'll be a cold day in hell before anyone mainstream will admit it, public physics is too damn rudimentary for us to function better than superstitious peasants down here.
