It's been nearly thirty years.... You would not believe the big deal made of this film when it came out. I was down in LA visiting my friends, one of whom was a big deal film critic, and the buzz before we even got to the screening was intense. I kept being flummoxed by how so very much could be said and gushed about it before anyone had actually seen it. But, Hollywood has its ways. I think one of them is that there has never been any such a thing as a bad Wim Wenders movie, or if there has been I have not seen it.
