This is an astounding finding.
Self-identified Democrats are most likely to put their faith in government/law enforcement to make the U.S. "safer" by curtailing freedoms (51%). Republicans are less likely to favor this exchange (41%). For independents, less than a third (32%) are willing to give up some freedom to combat terrorism.You know I am quick to admit that I am weird, quick to remind you in fact, but it still just blows my mind how fascistic "liberals" really are.
I am about as hard left as I can imagine and I am also about as far libertarian as I can imagine. These do not seem remotely incongruous to me... but the manual tells us they are completely incongruous.
