I was there twenty years ago. I nearly died of heat stroke and the stench of the open sewer right through the middle of Belize City. If they really felt they had to do this, wouldn't it have been better to pave over the sewer trench? I mean, no, I have no clue if they've done that upgrade yet, but if they're dismantling antiquity for roads, it's not a good sign.
