Some of the most unconscionable water thieves on planet earth are suffering for their sins. I mean, of course I feel badly for them, but, seriously, seriously, seriously the population south of Santa Barbara is out of any remote approximation of what the ecosystem can bear and has been since before I was born. We may be clever little critters, but we have not sussed how to elude the karma of our disinclination to stifle our greed.
