And we aren't even interesting enough for the theme parks of the future.

Yes, I am getting so sick of the Benjamin Franklin quote and reminders of the 1993 WTC BOMBING whenever this shit happens, but people seem to be stuck. People don't seem to be able to assimilate the true import of these indicators, even with endless repetition. People seem to be mere receptacles these days. Garbage In, Garbage In. Nothing comes out.
If I told you the whole story of what's happening about my tooth abscess you might shit your pants. I found myself at the doctor's office the other morning, waiting to duke it out about getting me the proper medical support for my emergency, when I heard loud whimpering and wailing and groaning in the examination room next to me. I'm thinking, "Poor woman. Good luck getting pain relief out of these schmucks." But it turned out that she had a broken leg. They can do that. They are equipped to handle broken limbs. A phalanx of burly firefighters came marching down the corridor to fetch her out of the clinic to wherever broken bones are set.
Otherwise, you go there with one specific matter for them to ignore while they drill you about the need for X number of approved screening tests and vaccinations.
So, you see, I could engage anyone in that gorgeous medical and dental clinic, patient, doctor, nurse, or sundry support staff, anyone, and tell them about what Ben said about trading freedom for security, or citing the proven fact that the FBI did the 1993 WTC bombing, and they would make some appropriate to the matter facial expression or arm wave or quip before resuming the litany of state of the art health screening or oral hygiene or grousing about whatever problem brought them there.
The world is starting to resemble the most unfortunate collision of Deliverance with The Stepford Wives.
Yes. Yes, it damn is.
