Don't. It may have been a good thing up to about ten years ago, but it isn't anymore. Any means of saving Russians from the starvation and chaos of the '90s was a darn good thing. Their kids are no longer in danger of even malnutrition, and adopting them nowadays is just American exceptionalism run wild. We no longer merit the honor, the privilege, the trust of the Russian people, to try to include any of their children in our families.

In fact, I wish a Russian would adopt me.
