It's pretty much a sketch and not very insightful, but maybe okay for people who want a start on why others are crazy for him to this day.
That would be me. I never can get over what a lack of insight Theo showed when bribing Gauguin to go live with him. I mean, the extremity of compassion and love, dying of a compulsion to drag the rest of the world up with him, in the same house with such a paragon of self-indulgeance and rapacity can't possibly turn out well.
