Maybe pop existentialism will help...?

You know, I was looking at Duane's new blog yesterday, and was happy to find there one of my FAVORITE SNIPPETS from Alan Watts. That guy was treasure. He was really right that he could say it, tell it to you in vivid detail, and still you would not get it. He did and you didn't.

You can't intellectualize it.

You have to experience it.

There is outright nothing about you new to the cosmos. You are the cosmos. Literally. Your most fundamental identity, the real you, is, thank you Carl Sagan, star stuff. You were never born. You will never die. You are utterly unspeakably indestructible. The whole thing is for you to shift your sense of identity to the true one. The minute you do, all there is is unbroken serenity in all ten directions. It is bliss. The entirety of the entirety is bliss.

When your ego recovers itself you are giddy with the answer to every question ever asked. Still, maybe you can take that failure and turn it into a solid success... if you just get back there where giddiness is just redundant, where bliss is unbroken, to the point where it's not even bliss anymore, where the is-ness of bliss only is ...

... and this enlightening being enlightens all by itself.
