I have had to wrestle with this since learning about his father's position in the world, his ability to make life really miserable for some extremely powerful people. This also makes me wrestle with the son's protestations that he doesn't remember anything about it.
He is of the ilk who perpetrates false flags, but his father may have been going to turn on them. He might've been doped out of his gourd while they set this all up, including dying his hair, and stuffed in the car to take the rap. He might not even have been in the theater.
If his father cooperates, he'll be declared incompetent and get out of the nuthouse in a few years. If not, well, we don't even have to think about that.
There isn't going to be a way to get to the bottom of this unless a number of people in positions to know about it decide to stop being bad guys. Barring that, this is going to be something identical in effect to obsessing on the vampire celebrities' big breakup. I don't like it, but that's the way it is.
