Not prattling on about smoke.
There seem to be a lot of BRILLIANT MANIACS prattling on about fire, but it's smoke because they're so unbelievable as people. It really drives me nuts because I want to pound my desk and go, Ha! right before they talk about being from Rigel VII or the reincarnation of Cleopatra.
Today's theme, if you've not noticed, is the unlikeliness that THIS is what was in the cards for life on earth. There were a number of starts on it and it hasn't panned out optimally... so far....
