All "summer" it has either been very foggy or raining. This, without the rain, might be a California coastal summer Mark Twain would recognize, but we haven't seen it for something like thirty years. Today the Gobi landed. I do not do heat well. It's supposed to be this hot again tomorrow before the fog comes back. Nobody has a clue what the heck is up with this "summer". We all remember the fog, but the rain? And it does get this hot once in a while, but that's almost always in September or October. I swear, I would not be surprised if it snowed on Wednesday.

Actually, I don't do that well in the cold either, but it's easier to fix cold than hot. There's only so much clothes one can remove before it gets untenable.
It's so strange. I seem to need to be between 60° and 70° or shit happens. Drop below 60° and my toes turn purple and get chilblains if I don't bundle them up in ultra socks. Get much over 70° and my feet and ankles puff up like stupid to contemplate. I start running around after water pills because just plain running around is not only kind of painful, but doesn't work.
Before puberty I could wear a huge down parka in the heat without sweating, or go barefoot perfectly comfortably in winter. After it this modulated to something more like normal if not exactly normal. So now after menopause we get this shit?
Life is so vexing. I no sooner get used to myself than I have to do it all over again.
