There is something you have to get through your head:
THIS IS NOT A REPRESENTATION OF THE RADIOACTIVE PLUME CONCENTRATION. Since we do not know exactly how much contaminated water and at what concentration was released into the ocean, it is impossible to estimate the extent and dilution of the plume.NOBODY'S MEASURING THIS.
People are putting out guestimates based on admittedly incomplete and unreliable data. In other words, they are compounding the unreliability... and increasing your terror. Why would they do such a thing?
It gets attention. It makes money. It makes you compliant. It keeps you stupid. You are too confused to budge. You don't want to leave the house. You don't want to think about anything in your house. You are almost a sculpture. Almost a fossil.
This is the way they want it.
You dare not even suppose for a moment that there really is radiation neutralizing technology. You dare not let a hint of death defiance cross your mind so you can respond to the threat in a way that liberates you from the box into which you were put shortly after birth. They've got your number.
The damage could be far worse than this. It could be far less. It could be nonexistent by now. There's only one way to know... and it isn't by treating yourself to the hysterical manipulations of thin air posted across cyberspace to help you feign Informed Person. Some credentialed people who fancy themselves expert put out this projected inaccuracy for you to savor in this quest.
And officials will rely on that... at whim. They never rely on sense. That's politically incautious. They rely on credentials. They rely on unreality. The people who actually run the world rely on actuality.
And keep it from you.
If you get it, they are finished. There is only one way you can get it.
