what did they think?

Pushbutton revolutions are not fomented for the good of the people. They exploit our goodness, our hope for a better world, to accomplish their ends. This is what comes of ideas like David Icke is our Gandhi. Unless I've missed something, which is possible, Icke is stumping for more street circuses and no action. There was nothing passive about Gandhi's resistance. People went and placed themselves bodily between the Raj and its aims. They brought its workings to a halt, all of them knowing they quite probably would be harmed or killed doing it.

There is this notion in modern times that is deadlier than Gandhi's approach. That is that personal jeopardy is to be avoided at all costs. That's how cops are now allowed to shoot first and ask questions later. That is how fascist puppets are allowed to call pitching a tent in the vicinity of the offices of vampires "protest". That is how you are prevented from stopping the evil, and how you are convinced to occupy the world's attention while the vampires suck it dry.
