Bees go batshit crazy when you mess up their hives. If their queen is killed they turn into raging sociopaths who will Kamikaze any living thing in their vicinity. ANY bees. They aren't going to go postal on you unless the hive is at stake... because they die when their stingers pull out of them after punching into your skin. They do not do this for drill.
L.A. Sheesh. I once heard a woman in L.A. telling someone, in all seriousness, that she'd enrolled in a course teaching people how to get in touch with their inner selves. If you don't think that is preposterous on its face, you need to take a trip to Yosemite or the beach or even out into the middle of the desert. Just get outta town right now.
