Old Uncle Dave's link to this bit greeted me upon my ceremonial morning browse through my inbox. I thought to pitch a fit and then realized I've done that a thousand times already and it makes no difference. I thought to send him links to all the scientists who have worked on secret projects who turn up prematurely pau, or all the suicided witnesses to the crimes of the powerful, or maybe just a link to a Farrell interview about how many Nazi scientists were slaughtered by their own lest the Allies get information from them. Then I thought to simply respond that sociopaths rule the world and call it done.
Pft. Out of the aggravation zone and back into the miasma where it belongs.
The guy's stubborn. He comes back with:
Psychopaths are as old as Cain, and they are believed to exist in all cultures, although they are more prevalent in individualistic societies in the West. The Yupik Eskimos use the term kunlangeta to describe a man who repeatedly lies, cheats, steals, and takes sexual advantage of women, according to a 1976 study by Jane M. Murphy, an anthropologist then at Harvard University. She asked an Eskimo what the group would typically do with a kunlangeta, and he replied, “Somebody would have pushed him off the ice when nobody else was looking.”which I remember having read in the magazine, and remember that this distinctive paragraph had gone over big along the tubes, but I don't think I ever mentioned it before, and it pretty much fits into what I was saying earlier.
Sane people don't take this shit. They don't make a big deal out of it either. They deal with what is abundantly apparent. No spectacle. No glory. No fanfare. No movements. No lame whining-fests in front of the edifices of plutocracy. No revenge. No vindictiveness. No uprising. No self-promotion. No psychopaths. Pure love. Each person in a sane society simply handles it.
I don't know how many years I have been insisting to people that the indians, the population of North America before Western Europeans started horning in, were in fact highly advanced spiritually, living in harmony with the environment. While it is true they were the technologically-benighted remnant of an ancient advanced—more advanced than we are—civilization, their spiritual advancement has always been nakedly apparent to anyone who looks with an unbiased eye, to anyone whose mental conditioning is not calcified toxins posing as brains.
That one paragraph from a long article is a startlingly pure clue.
