Not that it will render qualitatively better response than the efforts here by the judges of this ignominious victory or nuthin, but I'm trying to look for some bright side to it. It just boils down to a showcase of the avidity for snappy repartee, which is aces for romantic comedies and even the really elegant noir, but while the world is burning down? And these guys know it maybe the best of all? I do know that humans need comic relief, but, well, I'm not humorless goddammit. This stuff is depressing.
